BRIEF HISTORY
Shoyoroll Drama Free was first launched on Facebook in the Fall of 2015 as a group who's purpose was to provide a safe, friendly environment for all ShoyoFans to sell, buy and trade Shoyoroll gis and gear. It's that simple. Knowing that Facebook's group infrastructure is well suited for such activities that seemed to be the ideal venue for the launch of Drama Free. And so it began.Despite Facebook having so many advantages for the Drama Free venture, our founders were also keenly aware of Facebook's limitations. Most notably the fact that people must first be a member of Facebook to join our group, post their wears, and even view the items for sale. And while there is a very large Shoyoroll following on Facebook, it is definitely not all-inclusive. In an effort to expand the reach of Drama Free and expose our members' offerings beyond Facebook, in mid-November 2015 we launched Drama Free's Instagram page

PURPOSE
The inspiration for Drama Free's Instagram account was to provide additional exposure for our Facebook members' listings on a vehicle that reaches beyond Facebook. However, what we believe will be an additional benefit (and quite possibly overtake the primary benefit) is to give Shoyoroll fans who are on Instagram but not on Facebook (and those numbers are significant), a platform to buy, sell and trade their own Shoyoroll gis and gear in the secondary market without having to rely on eBay or other fee-for-service providers.HOW TO SELL/BUY/TRADE YOUR SHOYOROLL GEAR
There are a few ways for you to participate in Drama Free and buy, sell or trade Shoyoroll gis and gear.Members Of Facebook
The easiest way to participate if you are a Facebook member is to join our Drama Free group (see link below). Once you have joined then you are free to post your Shoyoroll gear for sale or trade, or scan and search the group for items that you are looking to purchase. Instagram Followers
One primary reason for setting up the Drama Free Instagram account was to enable us to reach out to ShoyoFans who are on Instagram but not on Facebook. As a result, you also have a platform to buy, trade and sell Shoyoroll items for your own account.And here is how you can participate and benefit from Drama Free's reach on both Instagram and Facebook.
- Make a post on YOUR Instagram page. It can be a For Sale, For Trade, or ISO post. You name it. Just as long as it's in keeping with Drama Free's posting guidelines (linked here), you are fine.
- TAG @ShoyorollDramaFree in your Instagram post.
- When we see the tag, we will repost to the Shoyoroll Drama Free Instagram page, and later we will also share that information with our Facebook group IF you have an email address where you can be contacted in your original post.
Now, if your Instagram account is set to "private" then there one additional step to take. And we've tested this, so we know that it works.
First, perform the above two (2) steps of (a) posting on your Instagram, and (b) tagging @ShoyorollDramaFree. Then you need to:
- Change your settings on your Instagram from Private to Public.
Simple.
CROSS PROMOTION
Cross promoting between both Facebook and Instagram is a powerful marketing tool of Shoyoroll Drama Free that no one else has. As our membership quickly grows in both Facebook and Instagram this will become an "added-value" advantage that all members and followers will benefit from.The concept is simple: The more people that see your item for sale, the more likely you are to find the best buyer for it. And the more people that see your ISO post for the gi that you want to buy, the more likely it is that someone who owns that gi will see your post.
Why limit yourself to just posting on your own Instagram account or in one or more Facebook groups when you can tap into a much larger pool of serious Shoyoroll fans?
Now you don't have to. Shoyoroll Drama Free Buy, Trade and Sell will do both for you.
From Facebook to Instagram
If you are active in our Facebook group and you want your For Sale/Trade items or even ISO posts put on our Instagram, please provide at least one of the following in your post:- Your Instagram address, or
- An email address where you can be reached.
When one of our Admin in the Facebook group sees your post, we will send it to our Instagram manager and he will add it to our page that same day/evening.
From Instagram to Facebook
Every day or two we will copy the information from all new posts on the Drama Free Instagram page into our closed group on Facebook. This will give anyone who is primarily following and utilizing Drama Free's Instagram the additional exposure of hundreds (and soon to be thousands) of ShoyoFans in our Facebook group.Those that have an Instagram account can contact you there. But we recommend that you include an email address in all posts because many of the people on Facebook do not have an Instagram account. But they all have email.
