The Page for BJJ New Gear is an ancillary member of the BJJ New Gear family. With the main focus being on the 14,000+ member Group, the Page is secondary and utilized for special events such as:

Exclusive Group Discounts

Some of the Brand Owner Members of BJJ New Gear have provided our group members with exclusive and ongoing discounts on their gear. Utilizing the promo code BJJNEWGEAR our members can even get discounts on items that are newly dropped or on sale.

Brand Owner Focus Giveaway

Usually two or three times a month we work together with one of our Brand Owner Members to focus on their company and the gear that they offer. The week concludes with a giveaway to one or more of the members of some gear by the Brand Owner. And while much of this activity takes place in the Group, we also utilize the Page and often invest some $'s to have Facebook "promote" the event. And that can only be done via a Page.

Holiday Discounts

At one time when we were a smaller Group with less items to promote, we used to post all the sales that our Brand Owner Members were having for Labor Day, the Fourth of July, Black Friday or similar holidays in the Group along with everything else. Now that we are tracking well over 200 brands, when one of these holiday sales comes up it quite frankly can get kind of crazy.

So, rather than post these numerous holiday sales in with all the other items we normally post in the Group each and every day, we utilize our sister Page for that. Doing so is a huge benefit for the following reasons:

1. The sale announcements do not get lost among the dozens of daily posts in the group. And given the nature of a group, with every new addition the old ones move further down in priority. So after two or three days a sale notice, which often does not draw many comments, is 20, 30 or more posts down from the top and far less visible than on the Page where it is not among dozens of new posts but resides among fellow sale announcements.

2. Overall, it simply keeps the Group less cluttered. Which is always a good thing because that Group gets between 10 and 20 or more posts a day.

3. The BJJ New Gear members who want to take advantage of a sale or discount now do not have to either search through or scroll down through scores of posts in the Group to find what they want, but instead can just head over to the Page and easily find what they are looking for.

As BJJ New Gear grows and evolves, the Page will likely be used for other aspects as well. When it is, this blog will be updated.
